Dash Clock

So... I've ready the manual and I see no mention of there being a clock functionality on my bike. Did MV seriously have a clock in the first gen and then forget to include a clock functionality in the second gen? Or is there a series of hidden button presses to get to the clock menu?

No clock I'm afraid, a bit of a bug bear of mine. Why MV decided not to have a clock is beyond me, when they went to the trouble of fitting a stupid lap timer.

That's the thing that pisses me off the most. By having a chronometer period, that means the ECU has the logic to run a clock. Hell, they could've even added a GPS so the laptimer is GPS based AND then the clock could also auto-sync with the GPS satellites. But apparently I now need to buy a $10 watch off Amazon and attach it to my triple clamp.

My issue is that a "promise" the wife I'll be back in time for some activity normally family based, and end up hours late.

I'm not saying a clock would make me arrive in good time, however it would limit the damage.

Yes, but if you have a clock you have no excuse!

I never got around to setting the clock on my 1000S and amazingly very quickly got used to not having one available after riding with one on my Moto Guzzi for 25 years. I continued not to miss it on my F4RR. Time seems to matter less on an MV.

Don't worry, practically every time I ride my Turismo with the tiny clock digits on the dash (my close eyesight doesn't help) it's usually wrong. Saying it doesn't keep time us an understatement... Difficult to understand in this day and age and especially as the TVL has a GPS unit built in that connects to multiple atomic clocks to function.

I totally agree! I've been in the doghouse more times than I care to remember due to not knowing the time and going too far to get back in time.
