Installing Quickshifter

I picked up a quick shifter from Evolution Bike for my 2016 F4RR and it finally arrived (back-ordered). I was thinking about installing it myself but was wondering if there are any issues that I should be aware of. It is the the quick shifter that normally came pre-installed on the bike but didn't come on mine. I know that the torque on the bolt was a bit finicky so was wondering what people would recommend for a torque value. Also is there anything electronic that has to be setup or is it basically plug it in and turn it on from the dash settings?

Thanks,
DJ

Assuming the loom is there and software there too thwn its plug and play.

The only software adjustment as standard is off or on which is performed via the dash.

Have a search for my post on ecu and quickshifter as it explains what used to do with the standard QS.

I assume it has come with a new bolt as well?

The F4RR didn't came with standard quickshifter????

I would give it to your local Dynojet Center and have it installed together with a air fuel test.

1120 F4RC -2017 MOTUL. Euro 3. The last of the best of the best!

Thanks for the reply. I do have the bolt and washer as well. I'm away until tomorrow so I haven't seen the rest but I believe the loom is there as well. Here is an image from Evolution Bike of what I got.

From what I've been able to figure out, MV stopped including the QS mid way through the 2016 production run. Possibly due to supplier issues. I have been back and forth with the dealer since I bought the bike last June and have given up on getting a satisfactory resolution. So I decided to just purchase one.

As for the air/fuel test I don't have a power commander or any other fuel management system so I wouldn't be able to do anything with the info anyway.

Hope you get it working ok... My 2016 QS has never worked reliably, it was replaced once and is still no good... I was told this was the reason it is no longer fitted.

If you do get it working, It'd be good to get your install/setup tips and tricks. I gave up with mine, as clutchless gear changes are a doddle on the roads & it never goes on a track.

F4RR 2016

Brutale 800 Italia
KTM RC8 1190
Moto Guzzi 1100i Sport
Honda Firestorm
Yamaha Thundercat
Yamaha FZR1000 EXUP
Kawasaki GPX750R
The list only gets worse....

If I figure anything out that could be helpful I will post it here.
