Thinking of getting an F4

I'm very seriously considering buying a 2010 model, so much so that I'm test riding one on Saturday
So anything to look out for and to check on Saturday

I just hope it's everything I'm expecting because it just looks sooooooo good

Do you normally ride sports bikes?
The F4 is tiny and narrow so your impression of it really depends on what you're used to and how tall you are. If you are quite tall (1.8m plus), then you may find it very cramped with a very tight knee angle.
If the bike fits you then you'll love it.

touring isn't exactly at the top of my list.

6'2" here so always a little cramped on any sportbike. I found it to be about average on the cramp meter. I did end up lowering the pegs about 1 inch and raised the bars the most they can be ( about 1cm ) and it`s almost comfy now.

Agree, I also lowered the pegs (and moved rearwards) and fitted 2" raised bars - I tour on mine.
I also fitted heated grips which are chunkier than standard and have a nicer feel.

Hi, I'm 6ft and have a K2 1000 and used to race one with raised pegs etc. I find the MV no worse than the gixxer. I occasionally commute 220 mile round trip to clients and its fine. It's not a tourer but I don't find it bad at all, I think people who put a lot of weight through the bars find it worse.
