Bit of advice

Hi there not quite a F4 owner yet but had a test ride there the other week of a F4 it was brilliant out of all the bikes I've ridden I've never felt so good about it or owning it. Trouble is few of my mates have started the "oh there terrible" "hard to get parts" "overheat" etc etc I'm just wondering are any of these jealous rumours true please say no. 😂 I'm also worried about the build quality as I live in Scotland and well summer means warmer rain and some dry days so just wondering how they cope? Also any other info that is out there is appreciated. I've also been considering mods that I've done to all my bikes full system air filter suspension set up brake pads also read that there is a wet pump upgrade for the new F4's what's the best way to go around all this are they as easily modded as the jap bikes?
Cheers

Issues revolve around year and model. What bike are you looking at?

These bikes are quite easy to work on. Parts are available, mods aer available, and heaps of help here.

Look throughthe modifications section and the maintenance section. There you will find inforamtion that will enlighten you.

Go here: http://www.teamdouble3racing.com/manuals.php and you are likely to find the manuals you will want.

Welcome and enjoy the madhouse.

Sorry should have said that looking at a new F4 so it will be a 2016, I wasn't bothered about the maintainer side of things more about the reliability and how they deal with Scottish damp summer weather

These remain boutique bikes but they are becoming more commonplace and therefore, more serviceable. If you go for a new one you will have warranty so no worries for the first 2 years here in NA, not sure about in your part of the world. I have gone beyond two years with my F4 and it has given me zero warranty issues with over 5K miles on the clock. The stuff that it does exhibit are only quirks and minor at best. Take care of it and it will take care of you.
