2010 mv agusta f4 - lost keys help!

I have a 2010 mv f4 and have stupidly misplaced my keys, please can somebody advise me on the best way to get my bike back on the road? Is there anywhere that can cut and program a key based on something like my vin number or would I need to get new locks etc? Does anyone have a rough idea of cost for this to get sorted?

Any help would be hugely appreciated!!!

Thanks!

I've not heard anything back from the dealer, has anyone had similar personal experience that can help me out?

I have no idea, but any dealer should be able to advise you on your options. Did you try calling the dealer to speak to someone?

Where in the world are you?

In my experience an e-mail can be passed over/ignored, whereas a phone call means speaking to a human who has to give answers ....

Thankfully one of my keys turned up so I now plan on getting a copy cut asap. I now realise how much of a big deal it is if both keys are lost, it seems from this experience that it's almost impossible to get a new one made without something to copy from. If my key hadn't turned up I was looking at having to replace all locks

Your keys came with a tag that had the key code on it.
Keys can be cut from that code. Your dealer should have recorded that code for you on the PDI delivery form or in your owner manual. Unfortunately, many don't. Next time you buy a new bike bike make sure you record that code somewhere.
Some OEMs have the code in the data base for each VIN.

Now, if you are in a country with imobilizer chips in the keys there are additional steps required.....worst case is a new ECM and lock set. Best case is the dealer has to teach the ECM the new code for the key.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

Thumbs up ?

Ed;
if someone needs a key chipped or not they don't need the ffing code as long as they have a key......
Jim can clone any chipped key and 1 day turn around

he is a Master Locksmith......so he can work off just the key code too

I have a master key for Aprilias and have sent it all over the World.......since Jim came

on the scene........ key hasn't gone anywhere
