Spare Parts

Due to conditions set by MV, only authorised dealers can order parts direct from MV. In Singapore the dealership has changed many times and due to some underhand dealings (a single bad individual) bikes and ownership details have not been past on to the most recent dealer. There is therefore no relationship and none wanted from new dealer, so currently there are several MV bikes sitting in workshops waiting on spare parts. My own bike has been laid up now for almost 3 weeks waiting on new coils.

In an effort to reduce this problem it would be good to list down common/minimum spare parts a dealer might hold in stock, have some views on OEM alternatives and put a budget together. There are only two workshops here that really deal with MV bikes and neither of them are affiliated with the new dealer.

1. Electrical Parts (ignition & sensors)
2. Gaskets and Seals
3. Clutch
4. Throttle / Injection
5. Brakes
6. Cooling system
7. Lights

Please feel free to add or attach a list.

If there are dealers in Australia or USA that already have such a list, a copy would be highly appreciated. This will help greatly in keeping more MV bikes on the road in Singapore and keep owners like myself much happier.

Hi scobie, in getting OEM parts form startwin. Service is fast and they are authorized parts distributor from factory. Still having issues with your injector coils?

I'll like to see oil filter in the list too. Gotten from Dhiraj that the oil filter is to be order and it's hard to get.

Thanks Donsy, Joe and others, it is not a case of where to buy, orders have been placed with Star Twin Trading before and also Evo. The WTB/FS section of the forum has been used too. Most orders still require the parts to be ordered from MV Agusta as stock items are very low or not kept for some items. The idea is to list some common spares across the bikes here in Singapore and carry some stock at the workshop and reduce the time the bikes sit at the shop waiting on parts to arrive. In other countries, professional dealerships will carry minimum spares. There are none in Singapore and the new dealer is only interested in selling bikes.

Aahh, got it. If I was you I'd email the bike dealer we have hear on the forum, Balz and he's crew at Moto Forza http://moto-forza.com/Contact-Us and maybe Pro-Italia http://store.proitalia.com/motorcycl...mv-agusta-oem/ , I think Star Twin also, and maybe they can help in private, I doubt very much that a dealer will want to put he's stock list on the forum for discussion.
These guys are close to me, but I'm not sure what they carry these days as far as spares go http://www.rickgillmotorcycles.com.au/MV_Agusta.html

I know how you feel mate, hope you guys get sorted.
