Chris Burns followed up his free practice success on STP Motosport's MV Agusta in today's qualifying session in the British Superbike Championship finishing 14th overall and 2nd in the Cup classification. while down on power at this fas circuit Chris made full use of the damp conditions to put in an epic perormance, finishing just 2.1 seconds of pole sitter Shane Byrne and 0.6 seconds away from Superbike Cup rival John Laverty. Given the potential that has still to be tapped on the MV Agusta this result is fantastic encouragement to the team and confirms the decision to run with this historic marquee in BSB is one that will pay dividends as the season progresses. 1 Shane Byrne Airwaves Ducati 1'19.7042 Leon Haslam HM Plant Honda 1'19.8723 Michael Rutter NW200 Ducati 1'19.9494 Cal Crutchlow HM Plant Honda 1'20.0265 Karl Harris Team Yamaha 1'20.3726 Leon Camier Airwaves Ducati 1'20.4917 Adam Jenkinson SMT Honda 1'20.8428 Michael Laverty Relentless Suzuki 1'20.8589 John Laverty NW200 Ducati 1'21.20510 Sean Emmett AIM Yamaha 1'21.31611 Atsushi Watanabe Rizla Suzuki 1'21.37812 Tom Sykes Rizla Suzuki 1'21.39813 Simon Andrews Jentin Yamaha 1'21.53514 Chris Burns STP MV Agusta 1'21.80415 James Ellison Hydrex Honda 1'22.05620 Stuart Easton MSS Kawasaki 1'23.21828 Scott Smart Hawk Kawasaki 1'24.96330 Dean Ellison Co-ordit Yamaha 1'26.644Full timings can be found here
