News - Luca Scassa has a Small Fracture in his Left foot. May 12, 2008

Luca Scassa has a Small Fracture in his Left foot. Matt Lynn doing well
Luca is doing okay after the minor incident at the Daytona testing. It is confirmed that he has a small fracture in his left foot which will require 20 days of healing time. He was holding the 4th time at the time of the crash after placing fresh tires on and losing the front end.

Matt Lynn ran a 1:42:116 without a prime bike-

Currently all three of the MVs are not at Superbike specifications. The team suffered an engine failure with an internal component that is to be replaced with an updated specification part for additional HP (but did not make the test as it is still in prototype production). The engines are now running the same as they were during the Jennings test.

The bikes running are very similar to those on the street with stock braking components, EFI box and controls, wiring harnesses, gearboxes, and wheels.

Matt Lynn is already faster than he has been at Daytona. A better gearing setup awaits him tomorrow, since he was hitting the limiter early and rolled back on the throttle in several sections of the track.

Luca is doing okay after the minor incident at the Daytona testing. It looks that he may have fractured a bone in his foot, or suffered a distortion in his left ankle. He was holding the 4th time at the time of the crash after placing fresh tires on and losing the front end.

Precautions were taken by Eraldo to ensure everything was okay with Luca. The bike is ready to go, but they are awaiting a foot specialist to review the fracture. If all is well, he may be back out tomorrow.
