MV Agusta's Racing Program Is Foggy For 2008
MV Agusta announced yesterday that they will race the WSBK series in 2008 with Carl Fogarty's former Petronas squad as their factory-supported team. If they can find a sponsor. So, this makes seemingly on-the-ropes-Ilmor, maybe Team Roberts and now Fogarty all looking for sponsors that will enable them to go or keep racing.Outwardly the Fogarty tie-up would seem to have more to do with the fact that he has infrastructure in place—from his former Petronas squad—that will solve a multitude of logistical and development problems for MV rather than MV seeking out Foggy because of his "icon" status in racing.Read the rest of the article at SuperbikePlanet.com >

Chris McCauley (Nevermore) was critically injured in a crash at Willow Springs Raceway, during a WSMC race on Sunday, April 15. He was flown via helicopter to UCLA Medical Center and placed on life support.Chris' injuries were extensive - C1 vertebrae fracture, pelvis fracture, brain damage, arm fracture.At around noon, he was removed from life support.Chris McCauley passed today. 5150 Racing / Team moto-heaven.com’s Justin Marm and Phil Caudill took 1st place in Heavyweight Supersport and 2nd Overall during the first round of the WERA / AMA National Endurance Series at Roebling Road Raceway this past weekend aboard the Fast by Ferracci prepared 2007 MV Agusta F4 1000R. This event was the first time an MV Agusta has competed in the series and was the first national win for the brand. The race was a complete 4-hours without interruption and the bike performed flawlessly for 185 laps. After the appeal presented by MV Agusta to the CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport) against the FIM’s decision to disqualify Luca Scassa at the STK World Championship’s Imola race, the Court declared MV Agusta and Luca Scassa winner of the appeal.Thanks to this, Luca Scassa has received back the 25 points conquered at the Imola track last October 1st 2006.MV Agusta and Luca Scassa are extremely satisfied with the result of the appeal which confirms the good faith of both Factory and rider.
