MV AGUSTA APPOINTS NEW AUSTRALIAN DISTRIBUTOR
February 16, 2011

Varese, 16th February 2011 - As of the first of February 2010, MV Agusta Imports Pty/Ltd. is the exclusive Australia wide distributor for MV Agusta. Melbourne-based MV Agusta Imports has taken over national distribution of the iconic Italian brand.

The company is run by Director James Deutsher, who comes from a contemporary art and design background, and Manager Kevin Beale, a long-time senior industry player who has previously worked with other motorcycle manufacturers. "MV's exceptional combination of trend-setting style with leading-edge technology is what holds much of the appeal for us," says Deutsher. "Australia has always been a keen consumer of exotica, and we're determined to see this historic brand re-established here."

"We are very excited about this new agreement as we are aware that from now onwards MV Agusta will be represented by a solid company with passion, enthusiasm, professionalism and great experience in one of the world’s main countries for motorcycle enthusiasts. The appointment of MV Agusta Imports as exclusive Australian distributor is a further important step forward in the MV Agusta worldwide network development process." says Umberto Uccelli, Commercial Director at MV Agusta Motor S.p.A.

A national dealership network is being finalised and is expecting its first shipments from next month.

The Official Press Release states "since February 2010" ??? Looking at the press coverage by magazines, newspapers, etc... some articles are saying "since Feb 2010" and some are saying "since Feb 2011". Not that it really matters, but I hope that they are more exact on details in the future.....

Let's hope this results in them being able supply parts quicker than in the past. My bike has been off the road since the 15th November because of a lack of parts in the country. I have been told that the parts will arrive 'next week' every week for the last month.

Very frustrated with the feeling of having one's hands tied with no one to complain to.

I would love it if someone could supply me with an e-mail address of someone at MV Italy that I can address my complaint to.

Parts are slowly coming in. The RG4 exhaust has only just started to ship again (a wait of 2 months) after the problems they had with Version 1 (fuel mapping and burnt carbon fibre ends) This may be a good starting point....takes about a week to get an answer...
