On the 16th of next month I will be up close and personal with the F3 in the Varese factory at Mr Castiglioni's invitation.

Will it be worth the the 28hour 55 minute flight via Frankfurt and 8 hour drive from Frankfurt? You bet your sweet ass it will be.

For me this will be a quasi religious experience - only 1,641,600 seconds to go

Sure, You will be delighted. Giovanni Castiglioni is really nice man. You will enjoy talking to him. Plus You are there in the middle of the week. So You will see all the peoples of MV Agusta and how these fabulous machines are build. If You have some time left after or before the factory visit, You should might visit the Museo GLA in Cascina Costa as well. It is just 45 minutes away from Varese, at the back of the Malpensa Airport.
Why didn't You book a fly from Frankfurt to Malpensa ?

You da man, and I want to come with you! I am planning a few days in Misano and then onto the IOM TT for a week for my 40th in a few years time.

I reckon your trip beats this though - this would be a religious experience!
