MVAgusta.net 2010 Southern California Meet Saturday JUNE 19
May 06, 2010

The time is nearing and planning has begun for our annual Southern California meet. Last year we invaded Rodeo Drive with over 50 MV Agusta motorcycles - from the classics to the very latest that MV had to offer. This year, we'll be along the coast on the Pacific Coast Highway in order to take in the ocean breeze, views, and enjoy the Malibu Mountains together.

The preliminary date is set for Saturday, June 19th. We'll start off sometime in the morning and, as I imagine, members will meet along the way towards our first gathering spot in Santa Monica. Next, we'll ride up the coastline (and make stops to pick up more riders) to our destination (TBD) for brunch/lunch. I welcome any suggestions for dining which can support a large group of riders and allow us to have our MV Agustas all together. I will do research and scope out locations in the meantime.

For those who wish to ride in from outside of Los Angeles together, I recommend you start forming a discussion to gather the attention of others nearby. We already have a group forming from Northern California to ride down at the start of Friday and enjoy the scenic routes that California has to offer. I did this ride 2 years ago and it was spectacular! We'll ride through routes such as highway 58, 33 through ojai, and along the coastline on the way back through Big Sur stopping at Nepenthe and other places for photo ops and food. Those who wish to join are welcome!

A thread has already been started on the meet:

I suggest those with interest in attending add yourself to the list. Simply hit the QUOTE button on the last posted list, remove the [QUOTE] boxes surrounding the content, and tack on your username (and name/MV if you wish). That way we'll have a good idea on a headcount for planning purposes.

This will be our 4th meet and every year has been spectacular and better than before. I look forward to seeing all of you again!

I'd love to make it, but alas I have too much shit going on. Leaving for St. John Saturday, World Superbike weekend end of may, MotoGP in July. Unless I want to play the leading role in "the Burning Bed" remake, I'm out. Enjoy and post lots of pics again.

We will start in the bay area somewhere depending on who's in. Most likely meet as we go. Hopefully we can muster up some people. JULIO? Richard? Others?

Most likely the meet will be mid/late June for sure. thinking the 19th

Friday head down and start early -- get in late afternoon in time for dinner. Saturday is the meet. Sunday leave early and head up. Route to be determined.

Before when we did it, it was 101 -> 58 -> 33 ojai -> 101 to LA

Coming up was 101 -> San luis obispo -> 1 all the way up along the coast through big sur. Eat at nepenthe and cut across from Monterey to 101

Let's do this!!!

I'm in for the ride down.

What is the route going to be? I need to book a hotel room, so if we're riding in a different area than other years we probably need to find a different hotel as well.

Let me know what hotel you come up with. I'm in!
