Default Compare an f3 to an r6 powerband

I am highly considering an f3 for my new bike. I have been reading a lot on the forum and looking at comparisons with the Daytona 675r. I had a few r6's and an 848 corse. I don't have a bike now, but will have on in a couple of weeks. I spoke with a dealer in Pa and he also sells ducati and he said the f3 feels like an r6 ,as far as where it makes its power. My r6 didn't make real power until 9 or 10 grand, is the f3 like this? Have any of you guys tried a -1 +2 with the sprockets, or is it not necessary? I got a price of $16,000 otd reg and plates incd, is that a fair price?

Its does make its peak horse power near redline similar to an R6 but that is about the only comparison. The f3 will make 10-15 HP more than an R6 thru most of the powerband. What dealer are you talking to?

16 grand out the door is way to high. I paid $14, 575 otd for mine. Unfortunately that dealer no longer sales mv agusta. Redline in Williamsburg VA is also a great dealer. They advertise $13, 495 before taxes etc.

In N.Y. The tax is 8.875%. They told me 14,750 plus tax and reg which comes to 16, 250 but they said they will do it for 16 even. That's Gold Coast in N.Y. Fast by Ferraci told me that he hates to say it but the mv feels like and r6, the power is all up top. I asked him how it compares to an 848 and he said it has no torque like an 848, that's when he said the r6 thing. I didn't expect it to have the torque of a twin, but I just hope it has more mid range than an r6. I am going to get ride one this coming week, they want $14 plus tax and they said they will work something out with the freight and prep.

It does have better torque than a r6. I own both. A f3 and a 2006 r6 with full graves exhaust, cams, power commander 5 with auto tune, bascally hooked up ready to race. Out the box the f3 is a better bike in stock form. I cant wait to deck my f3 out with all the go fast goodies when they come to the market. The f3 has torque numbers of a gsxr 750. Put it this way....its got enough torque for me to easily bounce it up into a standup wheelie in 3rd gear with stock gearing. Thats pretty damn good for a lil cc bike.

That sounds good to me. I plan on doing some track days with it. I have only done a couple with my r6 a couple of years ago. I'm in the novice class, I hope to do at least 5 this season and get into intermediate. I can't wait to test ride the f3 this week.

The F3 has a good mid range, far better than any 600/4.

I've ridden an 08 R6. I've owned a 2006 636 and for 3 years a Daytona 675, so I'm well placed to say I love the F3 engine. For road riding I really enjoy the low and mid range zones. My F3 pulls smoothly from 3,000 rev upwards. Sure it is nothing like the adrenaline rush when it passes the 9,000 rev mark. But's it's no breathless slug like an R6 below 9,000

That pretty much sums it up .
R6 Can't match.... Mv low down is far more flexible. ... And then you add the orgasmic sound of the mv triple. All over for Yamaha

Thats what I want to hear. When they do these comparisons they get really technical. They over analyze too much. I think a lot of the stuff they talk about we never notice when we ride the bike.

well i have two 675s and ill say this. its pulls very hard from 4500 on up to where im nervous of it above 12k in 6th. i mean ive bounced the 675 off the chip top end in 6th, and the mv feels like it has so much more power above 150mph.
