Default What battery?

I'm wanting a new battery to replace my OEM one. I'm not chasing weight saving but merely wanting a better, more reliable battery than the original. Obviously I don't want a battery a lot heavier but at the same time not bothered about any replacement weighing the same or maybe slightly more.......any suggestions?

Just get one of the shorai ones. More capacity in less weight and size. Its about double the cost of the old technology if you're talking about a quality one.

Regarding lead acid Yuasa is the best brand I know of here for a reasonable price.

I 2nd the Shorai - I own a moto shop and push those batteries hard to all of my customers as long as they arent in the deep cold snow area. I just put one in my Brutale last night.

Had my OEM Yuasa's last 5-7 years on my three current bikes, and would definitely go Yuasa if wanting lead acid. Replaced them all with Shorai, of which the oldest is about 18 months old.

I have a Shorai in mine. Not so much for the weight reduction but more for the fact that the battery will hold a charge for a long period of time and won't leak acid.
