Default 1090r exhaust

Merry Christmas everyone!

Ok so I am looking at upgrading just the cans
On my 2012 1090r and have been looking at these
http://www.evolutionbike.it/mvagusta...0/rrsc007.html
http://www.evolutionbike.it/mvagusta...rrsc002-3.html
Ideally I just want the bike a bit louder for when
I am in traffic, probably getting to old for a full
Open Ti system.
If anyone have used either I would appreciate your advice.

Thanks

MV Mitch, I am in the same boat/bike. I am looking at "mufflers" plus I want to remove the cat with a mid pipe, so I will watch what you decide on with interest. George

I assume, you want twin pipe, for .........? Headers pipes, actuator valve (the resticted power) and catalytic converter (the ugly box) they may be weld in one pice ( i got 990 R 2010, than was weld in mine) not to mention they are super heavy ( i think around 22 lb.) compare to MIVV (2 lb.) 9" long (around $375-$400).I change handlebars also. But , is your choise. Merry Christmas Everyone.

Wow that's a clean looking bike, very nice.
I am not chasing a power increase, already has
plenty for me. I really like the look of the twin
pipe setup.
I will be doing a few long trips with the mrs on
the back so it would be nice if it was not to loud.

I have the std cans and a de-cat header, its loud enough, you can always take out the air box restrictors if you want some induction noise on top ...

Ok so I went with these for now, it's more the
Look over performance for me at this stage.

Having said that I can probably see myself
Getting the rest of the system down the track.

Default Arrow 71450MI

Just like billywhizz I replaced the stock headers and the cat with this Arrow inox headers/mid pipe and kept the stock silencers along with the ECU and the Lambda sensor

http://www.evolutionbike.it/mvagusta...w/71450mi.html

It is a perfect setup for my taste - loud enough but not too loud. The bike seems to run cooler and smoother too.

Both of these are "race" pipes, i.e. no db killer. I think they are intended to be used with a full system, including "race" ECU. But they look great...

I did contact evolutionbike about them before I ordered them
and was told the ones I picked are not completely open so I am hoping
they will be ok.

I really like the look of them, I will be ordering the rest of the system including the ecu when funds permit. Then I will be able to swap and change to get the combination that's suits.

Don't think they will be here till mid jan so I will have to wait and see.

Thanks for the input everyone.

Did you receive instructions of any sort with the headers/midpipe/ECU combo? I have this kit as well, and it looks rather easy to install but i've heard that air injection needs to be blocked off somehow and they include a rubber plug with the ECU that must be used for this purpose.

Thanks!
