Insert every cuss word in the human language here and repeat them for the next 10 minutes, went to take a ride. Fire, Die, Fire Die. Same thing as before. Another $100, Another Reg, Another pulling out the alternator and another month of bullshit diagnosing. It started 4 times this time. I can't even believe I am typing this message right now and not riding. I need medicated for my depression and suicidal thoughts.

Don't take this the wrong way..............find a good auto electrician and give him the problem
![]() As I said numerous times fixing stuff over the internet is very hard, at a guess and maybe stating the bleedin obvious for some reason your alternator is running away with itself, it must be missing some input/output to do this, that's the easy bit, the hard bit is combing through and finding it

I'm sorry to hear that Jason too. I know you have put alot of effort into fixing it but mikef4uk is right...
The regulator rating is suspect in my book. I definitely would not pull the alternator at this point. The whole bike needs to be diagnosed "holistically" in the present failure mode. Don't mess with the " scene of the crime". You definitely won't want to hear this Jason but please give the whole bike as it is now to a man who works on electrics every day for his livelihood...and give him some money it is the cheapest and most effective route in the long run. joe Last edited by gotojoe : 12-04-2012 at 04:31 AM. |
