Ok guys
Just call me a perfectionist or whatever
but I find the oem corse bellypan way to big , hiding way to much off
our beautiful engine and such , also not complete following the lines off our bike aswell , and on the other side there's the tamburini one
wich is way to small, I 've seen one in the flesh on a bike , and it's hardley noticable, and and what a cost !!(starting at295 euro's for each side)
So I decided, with the weather always whorstening this time off year and the bike "garaged",
To give it a shot and make a prototype in clay so later I can take a mould and make myself a nice "homemade" carbon one
This is my ruff prototype, wich needs to dry so I can make minor mods
and then take a negative copy (mould ) off it.
Only rigt side engine at thiis moment , one side at a time chaps

Nice. I take it you work with this kind of thing? It's not Every day that someone looks at the lowers out there and thinks, not good enough, I believe I'll make my own.

I assume that you can't ride the bike whilst the clay is in situ, how long does it take?

Looks nice, the only thing I might alter would be to get some form of venting to flow air away from the brake master cylinder area.

No I don't do this for a living , just a hobby, in my daytime job I"m a quality engineer at a hydraulics components firm.
I took a polyester/carbon course in evening classes some time ago
I also made all my carbon on my previous bikes and this one aswell.
Just like to keep busy , and in my garage , I'm away from wife and kids
The bike is garaged at wintertime, but I still ride to work everyday on my 1987 beemer k100, got heated grips, you know...
and agusta's really don"t like the salty roads

You are wright , the notch you see in the middel is gonne be a vent hole , with meshed black alu.
also need it for the echaust heat and lower radiator heat to get away from the brake master cyl
