I'm wanting a bike camera for next Isle Of Man TT and fancy the Replay XD1080 but what about Go-Pro?

Anybody got either one or have any feedback in any of them or indeed others also on the market?

I haven't used a Go Pro, but there are many on here who have.
I'll use the Go Pro Hero III when I have the free funds.

+1. It comes with a waterproof case as well, so you can record your low-side in the rain!

Contour is a good quality unit (as well as the GoPro) - I don't have any complaints with mine.

Go pro is a good camera, with good picture quality and sound. I can even take it scuba diving.

Its a shit to mount solidly to get good video thanks to its shape, size, and mounting system.

I just bought a Contour Roam,only bought it due to its size.Mounted it on the L/H fairing panel.I used it for the first time last week on a 3 day road trip and its great,but don't buy one for sound quality though,there is alot of wind noise but picture quality is great.

Mitch I have noticed this audio issue too but the quality is quite ok under "normal" use -ie where your not travelling along at a great rate of knots creating wind noise. I think this can be solved, without having to hide the cam from the wind, by locating the mic ("hidden" at the front I think) and putting some attenuating material over it. Haven't tried it myself though and it is probably a bit of an oversight in design the first place. I have the original roam (no gps or bluetooth) and I think this is a good thing for most use as it saves on battery life significantly though I'm a bit jealous not having the extra bells and whistles.

I am unaware if this audio issue is a problem with the GoPro.

Yeh Steve,I bought the standard Contour Roam,like I said for its compact size.When its on the bike you don't even know its there.Because my bike is black helps.I took various shots on my trip,one up over Glorious and no shake,the picture is perfect.When at higher speeds there is wind noise but lower speeds you just hear the bike.I might try that trick with the mic and put some tape over it maybe.

I have the GoPro2 - fantastic quality pics and video - see my pics in "photo album" - I have pics and a video...You get about 2.5 hours video on one battery.
