I have the oppertunity to purchase a set of brand new Marzocchi 43mm RAC forks for a crazy low price from a good friend. Does anyone have experience with these forks? If so are they a good product? Lastly does anyone know if they will bolt straight to my F3? I know the dimensions of the RAC fork but can't seem to find the dimensions for the stock fork.

Well since nobody has chipped in any info I would have a go.
Firstly, what is wrong with your forks? What did the Marzocchi's come out of, what are they sprung for ? You will have to check more than just the dia of the forks mate, what about the lenght, stroke, mudguard mount, brake caliper set-up and also axle size and fittings ? Many things to look at before spending the $. |

There is nothing wrong with the stock forks really, they just have a harshness that I can not seem to dial out. The Marzocchi RAC forks are supposed to have a very large range of adjustability and should be plush and controlled at the same time. I have all the numbers info on the things you mention except for the spring. Once I find out what would need to be done to fit them may make the purchase pointless so I figured I would ask here if anyone could help me find the info I need. Also, getting a $2400 fork for $300 makes it worth a bit of time to see if I can make them work.

Ok, I found out the spring rate is 9.5Kg/mm. So I believe that would suit a 140-175 pound rider correct?

If that's a front fork spring rate, shouldn't it be .95 kg/mm, not 9.5 kg/mm?
