Thanks Yamadogr1. It makes sense. I have a feeling it's more to do with spring preload than compression. The chap at the shop I go to also said I will need stronger springs at the front...Not that I'm ginormous, only about 90kg, but the suspenders are probably designed for lighter blokes.
Cheers.

I bought the exhaust from my dealer when I bought the bike. I never even rode the bike prior to the installation of the exhaust.

The fact that I'd bought 2 Ducatis, 3 MVs, 1 Triumph, 1 Harley, and a zillion trash and trinket items from that dealer might have had some impact on the price he quoted me on the system.

I doubt if the front will. They have 1.0 kg springs in the front which is fine according to my suspension guy who says that is right for my weight(225). The rear though according to GM Computrak in Atlanta, GA is sprung light. I think if you get the rear setup right you will not notice any problems with the front spring wise. It may need some compression and rebound adjustment to fit your riding style and road conditions.

There was initially - before first good attempt at suspension setup - a definite feeling of forward dive/slide which I don't remember getting with my old Brute 750S. This was mostly but not fully sorted with adjustments made to ride height + compression and rebound front and back. That is why the chap said I need stronger springs at the front.

My Brute ran at roughly 225/228 degrees in normal, around-town city driving ... 210ish while moving on the freeway or canyon roads ... regardless of season ... under 6000 RPMs. Above 6000 the bike would cool down to the 190 range, but then I'd be riding like an animal and it was too frantic to do that all the time and just for the sake of cooling the bike down.

When stopped at a stoplight the temp would skyrocket to 235 and start flashing in a "BETTER GET MOVING" kind of way. Since I don't always rev the piss out of my bike and enjoy a nice, leisurly jaunt from time to time, I find the increased cooling efficiency of the upgraded impeller to be a welcome addition. The bike now runs in the 190 range while cruising and 210ish in traffic. The fans kick on a 200 degrees as well.

As for the damper, well, I know my bike is set up right and I find that it helps quell the head shake I experience when accelerating HARD out of corners or when really romping on it in the first three gears - you know, when the front wheel is skipping over the ground.

I have the Ohlins rotary damper and it's come through for me quite a few times.

Just my $.02.
