Why are your shipping prices so expensive for small parts or apparel? You have some really nice stuff but makes it hard for us guys overseas if we want to buy small orders as we can afford it. $80 shipping for a $20 tee shirt. Dude your breaking my balls.

It's the post office that is breaking your balls, not Motovation.
There are several ways to ship goods to Australia. Forget UPS, FED ex and DHL. They are way too expensive. You have to use the post office. First class mail is the least expensive. No tracking number, no insurance, no proof of delivery. Priority mail is the most reasonable. A flat rate envelope or small flat rate box is $16, but like first class mail, there is no proof of delivery. There is a tracking number, but it is useless if one has to file a claim. If you want a tracking number an proof of delivery you need to use at least Regular Priority mail. You'll pay $30 to ship a t shirt. If the shipping price was $80, I'm guessing they are using Express mail. The safest way to ship. Tracking number, proof of delivery and insured.

I think most of us would not worry about insurance or tracking with orders under $100 if we can save on postage, would be nice to have the option in the checkout.

I noticed a similar anomoly trying to get a post rate for a $ 5.00 part from Holland to Uk. The part was so small you could have worn it as an ear ring lol They wanted $ 20.00 to post it...
I've had this before with some vendors..They have it as policy to send it tracked and recorded as it covers them and they won't give the buyer the option..Bit of a pia really...I don't mind a gamble on a $ 5.00 part joe |

Have them send it to me for $5 and I'll send it to you for $5. No guarantees it will get there, but it will get shipped.
I'm shipping some Harley stuff to someone in Australia.

Group buy or build the order up in value to make the post cost worthwhile.

If cost is a concern, please make a note on your order. We'll find the cheapest reliable service for you. We can and will customize your shipping for you depending on how urgent you need your package or how risk averse you are.
![]() - Fedex offers speed, great visibility and is extremely reliable and insurance is offered - USPS Express Mail(EMS) is almost as fast but has less visibility. To most countries, it is quite reliable. However insurance is quite the joke. - Global Priority Mail is a bit slower and has limited visibility, they will sell you insurance but will not pay claims if package is lost. In some countries, the loss rate is horrendous! - First Class/Airmail is great for really small or lower value packages. May take a while to get there but rarely longer than 1-2 weeks. For some countries, it is surprisingly fast. No insurance is offered. The rate quote is not always accurate and we often make changes before we process orders. For some countries we will not use USPS..just too unreliable and there is no recourse for lost packages. Australia and NZ is great and we have very few lost package on that route. So please let us know and we will be more than happy to work with you. Last edited by Cazadore : 04-18-2012 at 11:39 AM. |
