Hi :)

Does anyone make aftermarket clip-ons for the F4? Neither Gilles nor Woodcraft list anything big enough ...... I'd like a pair that lift them a little, are rotated slightly further forward, and are slightly flatter .....

I've become used to riding a bike with Renthall Fatbars for several years now, so am finding the bar position of the F4 quite strange, and would like to try and make it feel a bit more comfy for me :naughty:

Ok so this is the Clip ons I ordered. It was convenient to get them. Quick delivery and Reasonable price..etc.

Sounds like a cheap date..lol

Can the current stock clip ons be taken apart without removal of yoke?
Does removal of yoke take a special tool?

Here is a better look at the aftermarket clip ons.

Again sorry for the ignorant questions.
Thank you for the help!!!:conveyer::conveyer:

Have you thought of looking in the workshop manual, sorry, not meaning to sound mean, but if you're going to work on your bike you might want to have a look at the process.
Yes the OEM bars can be removed, without removing the yoke.
No the new bars will not go on without removing the yoke.
Have you got Allen key set, that's all you need to remove the yoke, read the manual.
Are you sure those 49mm bars will go onto the MV's 50mm forks ?

Did you try flipping the bars for left to right and right to left. this has the effect of raising the bars by a couple of centimetres so giving a better riding position in my opinion, however you will have to remove the location pins on the controls buy pulling them out, but can be refitted if need be, hope this is of help Banjo.

Well, had a bit of spare time yesterday afternoon, so flipped the bars left-right, right-left (took about 45mins in total) ........ this lifted the inside by a couple of mil (thanks to the inverted locating pins) and the bar-ends by about 15mm :)

One thing immediately apparent about this mod - Your thumbs no longer get trapped against the airtubes on full lock ........ instead your knuckles hit the mirrors :crazyeyes

So, I went for a little ride this morning, and am very pleased to report it's a definite improvement - a little less pressure on the wrists, and a nicer (for me) bar angle ....... Happy Days for a "freebie" mod. The only thing better would be if the bars were slightly wider ........

As far as I can see this is the most height gain possible without changing the master cylinders/reservoirs for some remote units.
