I am considering selling my 77 MV 750S America.

The bike was purchased and imported from Italy by my father in 1977 who had a nice collection of bikes. This was his favorite.

There were two imported. The other is in the Peterson Museum with -0- miles.

It has been in Southern California at my dad's garage it's whole life. I helped remove it from it's wooden crate when it came in from the docks. I also have a box of NOS parts that he purchased at the time he got the bike... brake shoes, gaskets, side plates and other odds and ends for preventative maintenance.

This is a very special bike and has been well cared for.... it has appx 6km on the bike. Overall it is in very good condition, but it is not a perfect show bike. It needs a good cleaning and detailing which I may not have the time to do - If I do detail out the bike I will want more $$

It runs great and as you know is a rare and special bike. It has aftermarket chrome pipes and the original black ones are with the parts. Otherwise it is stock.

Will post some pictures, but would consider offers over $50k. I have a clean California title and current 2012 registration. If interested please email blakeusa@yahoo.com

If it is not sold by the end of the year I will be detailing and restoring it to show condition.

Best Regards,

So????? What do you want ya cheapskate......how many of these you think you'll have a chance at? And it isn't that blue and white model (never liked that paint scheme). This is the one!!!! Will only go up in value....you know it!!!

Ed, did you miss the part about him asking north of $50k? :wtf:

And have you priced these things in the market???? so what is stopping you from making an offer???? You want this bike Randy....I know you do.

Ain't you gonna buy that bike, Randy?

Tell you what, you get that MV. It will need new paint, new chrome and a whole engine overhaul with a thousand new parts but that's just awesome! It'll create a job for Ed, doin' all the work and it'll save Carl's business, selling you all them rare bits. It's gonna save the American economy. Hell it even got America written all over it! What ya reckon?

Randy's wife would rather have a swimming pool than another motorcycle in the garage.

I suggested he buy the bike and name it Jackie's pool.

Since he likes sleeping inside his house, he probably won't do it. Having said that, being told "you're sleeping in the barn tonight, bubba" is not a bad situation to be in at Randy's house.

If he hadn't taken it in the shorts on that ill-considered Ferrari deal he got into he would be able to do both (pool and MV America) :banghead:

.....not to mention all the time it took to get back in Jackie's graces after selling her Aston Martin to get the dang thing.....:thewife:

But, on the positive side, he did get to enjoy the prestige of having owned a Ferrari...:smoking:

YOu guys are Funny.

By the way I have the wife and HER swimming pool.

I actually built the pool myself w. the help of an experienced pool builder. Am in at at 80K+ on the pool and the landscaping still has more to go. Pool builder wanted $150 for a lesser quality.

The MV is definitely a better deal than the pool. I really have not marketed the bike, but have been told by a high end buyer that he thinks I should restore it - get it all in order and offer it at 75K.

It's a one owner documented bike. Even have the original purchase order from Cosmopolitan Motors, & original paper vin and shipping tags. Lots of other documents as well. It does have 9K miles- my mistake.

As is its fine, but for those who desire the finest of the finest a cosmetic restore may be in order.

Pool = whole in ground with water, money looser

MV = Power in hands, one seater (no passangers) + investment

love this point randy what a beautiful thing t say... wise beyond your years my friend, im 36 and my son is 8 and he'd rather hang out with mates...

One other point, I've got a daughter and grand daughter 40 miles away, and anything I can do to bribe Heather (swimming pool) to bring that baby around more is a good thing......I've got 10+ years with Maddie Grace before hanging out with grand parents becomes uncool. The swimming pool just might extend that a few years.

Finally, Jackie doesn't ask for much, and she wants a pool.[/QUOTE]

From my fathers collection, we have a 750 America to sell. Any ideas on the best method?

Must be an Australian bike....it's up side down !!!!

So another one hits the market. Put it on "Rare Sport Bikes For Sale" web site.

So....details?... mileage, extras, provenance, PRICE??????

Where is that upside down beauty?

Here we go again........and no, I'm not a prospect.

Considering the barn is nicer than my house, and the new 'man cave' over the garage is nicer than my house, I can not wait to see what the pool house will have to offer. Something tells me a shed over the filter isn't going to cut it.
I've been looking at the 'endless pools' that allow you to use a smaller footprint, swim against the current and easily maintain it...however, you don't need a pool boy.

hmmmm maybe Jackie wants a pool boy?
