Hey everyone!!

Its been a little while since I've posted on the forum, but now I'm back and from the little I've heard so far and read..... A lot has happened.

Its been about 8 months since I've been on here mainly due to burying myself in a hectic work schedule, a few overseas trips for work, obtaining myself a new ex-girlfirend, relieving myself on one beautiful waterfront home.....and currently recovering from a torn disc in my lower back.

So while i'm forced to take further time off work and riding (even though Chris from X-bikes UK has just re-mapped the beast which i'm dying to get back on) Help me out everyone with some good reading material and please bring me up to speed on everything I've missed???

Most importantly....is the "My 312 wont do 312pkh" thread still going?
.... And what ever happened to Kawi???:stickpoke

Cheers :yo:

Randy is having a Bubba 4
Alvin sold the forum
Lots of name calling and some members left
Dave got a CC that he left at Randy's place for one year
Pics and some reviews of the F3
Lee seems to be selling all his bikes and built a boat.

Chicks still dig Brutie riders.
F4 riders are still limp.
Erik was right about NotLance.
Carl has his own collection of groupies, many who kiss his ass on a regular basis
I am actively wholesaling F4CC parts on eBay.
Randrew has been stricken with CF disease, soon to be solved with my assistance when he builds his new home.
Chuck got a new knee, and a titanium pee pee.
Elton fades in and out of conciousness.

I'm thinking that about covers it.

Hi Ash

Not going into any details here, I am sure you will pick it up as you go. It will be great to have you around again, I should say welcome back mate :).

Some old members left, the site have changed ownership, some new members pissed some old members off so they left. Some old members pissed other old members off so the left.

Even I almost left after being pissed off far too much, but wisdom prevailed and I stayed, like some other really good Older members who whispered in my ear.

We have some great new members and the F3 is about to steal the show from our generation I think, at least for a while.

The site sponsors have been doing a great job looking after everybody's cravings, both Carbon and Ti, and all up I think we have been behaving pretty badly in a nice sort of way.

I am still doing my usual begging for money and parts, some things will never change, and have a few extra trophys and some new knee's busy with re-covery. There is actually a few of us in re-hab:naughty: at the moment.

That's just my version, a quick one, I am sure more details will follow, either way, it's great to see you back mate, I do hope all is well on your side.:)

PS. Bubba 4 has your name on the invite list I believe :yo:

Just seen your post.. Wecome back Dude.

.

Welcome back Ash..

I'm sure you'll be up to speed with the banter in no time..

Andrew and Dons have covered some of the finer points, but they forgot to mention that’s its knee operation season at the moment.

So for Christ sake get your order in now while stocks last.. :).

Hi Ash,

Thanks for the company and banter last Tuesday while the dyno was running hot and loud. It made a long day go a lot quicker. Catch up soon for a ride when your back is fixed, in Sydney or Port.
Cheers mate.

Hey guys thanks for welcoming me back and bringing me up to speed on some of whats been happening.
Sounds like I've missed a lot. I'm sorry to hear that some of the older members have left.
I'll have to hunt through some old threads to find out who and why?
Let me guess, could it have been politically based?:bash:

Donsy:
Congrats on adding a few more trophies to the mantle piece:yo:. Sorry to hear about your knees. I hope the recovery is going well and a speedy one for you.

John:
Nice to hear from you mate. How's the new house going? Any more toys you've added to the collection? Whilst being laid up myself I've been looking for another bike to keep and use at another location in Australia (Queensland), and even though I should be looking at something a bit more cruisy, I keep coming back to your Ducati 1098R and Beemer.:naughty:

Dave:
Thanks mate for the well wishes. I hope all is well with you and your family and friends in NZ. From what I hear from close friends in Christchurch, these earthquakes are relentless and you are experiencing near on weekly after shocks! Are you on the South Island? I had a few visits to NZ scheduled, some for and some for play, but all work had been postponed till things settle down. I may be visiting in April/May.
On another note......A huge belated congratulations on your purchase of the CC. Wow! :mouthwate

Rob_b:
Thanks mate. Chris has given the MV his Midas touch. A few of us are taking him out for drinks this afternoon to get him smashed before he heads up your way Monday morning. Are you able to catch him on the Goldie while he's there?

Michel:
It was a pleasure to meet you in person earlier in the week. Good conversation and laughs timely spaced between the back round Dyno run of Chris tuning your Brutale was a great way to pass some time. Let me know when you're back up on the coast and we'll catch up whether in Port or Coffs. Good Luck with the Emerald Beach project.

Cheers

Hey Ash,

We've done nothing much to the new house, apart from keeping on top of the garden work. How are you doing with your place?

After Carl’s post on single cylinder racers, he’s got my lips wet for a Ducati Supermono. I’ve tracked down a couple of nice conditioned Supermonos’ and when the time is right and more importantly, if the price is right, then I’ll take a punt on buying one..

However, I’m not buying any other bikes for the time being until I've finished all my bike projects and found another suitable property to re-invest the monies from our old house sale.. The house prices in St Albans is mental and bargains are thin on the ground.. You know me, I like a bargain!

Good to have you back mate.
John

Sorry mate, I only read your post today....we finished up drinking at midnight so I dont think his plans of a 4:30am departure was going to happen :wtf:. I'm sure the Micro-tec Guru will be fine.

Good luck with your bike mate:stickpoke

Eddypro and me and a few others are on the race exhaust/PC V/race ECU bandwagon and many battles and arguments ensued to convince us that we should have gone with Microtec. I can sometimes be a jerk but haven't for awhile and we all seem to be playing nicely now. I went stupid Carbon crazy on my 1078 up to and including the rims. It's a cold boring winter in Indiana so I've been putting the MV in bike expos and shows for fun. There are no others in Indiana and I live in the land of Harleys and gay stretched Busa's. We have a group called "Church of Speed" and the guys that have sport bikes and actually know how to ride them meet on Sundays and ride all over the winding twisting roads of southern IN and terrorize small towns. There is a Ducati Owners Group here, none of them ride, it's pathetic. The MotoGP is here till 2014, I live 15min from the track and anybody that comes (from this group) can crash at my place. Questions get answered, Guys always help out, sometimes I break things and then come on here and read from Donsy about how I should have done it the first time but some day I'll sort that out.

The "Church of Speed"....... I like it! :). Are you the Bishop?

I'm relieved to hear that You, Melanie and the Famous Scooter are safe and well away from the earthquakes.
Thank you also for your very kind offer of having me as your guest. I will gratefully and humbly accept in advance. As yet I do not have any travel dates confirmed. But as they come up I will let you know.

Thanks again Dave

Welcome back Ash,and a speedy recovery.I have been making a redesigned rear hub for MVs,to solve the problem with bearing failures and has been quite successful,in between running my business and buying and selling houses. When you are fully recovered maybe I could get a couple of the Brisbane boys together, show them the Oxley Hwy and come down and meet you.

#29 ·
Thanks Rob and Mitch.
Its good to be back and reading up on things that have been going on. Good to see a steady stream of newbies too.

Mitch: you new MV Hub project sounds interesting. How far are you from completion?
Let me know when things settle down for you and the guys and head down this way. Hopefully by then i'll be fully recovered and back riding.

To be or not to be..

.
Hey Ash

I must be getting dumber and dumber with old age, as I missed the fact you moved on in the relationship and property stakes.

Sorry to hear about Cindy and its a shame it didn't work out for you guys.. Its either meant to be or not, as the saying goes.

I would like to get another bike in the future, but I need to prioritize our financial investments first.

My bike wish list is as follows:

1) A late edition Ducati Supermono
2) A used Panigale R model
3) A used F3 Oro (hopefully with next to zero miles).

Long live us Dreamers

Anyway, good luck with your future plans mate and hope they bring you good health & happiness.

I cant believe for the first few pages all this talk and nobody really told Ash what had changed while he was gone??

1. Randy had another sex change, lost some weight doesnt look good in heels.
2. Admittedly came out of the closet and was doing a bunch of Richard Simmons sweating to the Baldy inspirational tapes.
Oh and the forum owners changed and are going to charge a fee to a be a member LOL.

#33 ·
A very nice wish list John.
The F3 is certainly a nice bike too. I fear the pricing will be ludicrous by the time they make their way to Australian shores.
I am on the slow and casual hunt for another bike to use and keep at a different location, but not sure whether to go for another sports bike or something a little more cruisy?

Thank you also for your well wishes. The break up was very amicable and we have still remained friends. We both just realised that ultimately we weren't as happy as we would like to be.
The future plans are looking great. Business is strong and am also looking for a few investments so I dont keep spending and looking for new toys. Health wise, as soon as I get this back situation strengthened I'm going to work extremely hard at improving my fitness and overall health. As for happiness......I'm very fortunate to be surrounded by great people and influences so "Happiness" is a given.

Look forward to speaking to you more John.

Cheers
Ash

Ash,I made 2 hubs to start with about a year ago (prototypes),1 went to Donsy for his race bike and has done around 5,000 race kilometres,1 went to Noel for testing (Noel also helped me with ideas for the design).Since then Noel,Alex and I have sold 30 units and there is another 20 being made now.Boy you have been out of touch lol.

#35 ·
No $h!t.....!!
That's awesome guys!
I'm guessing the feedback from all the units sold has been really positive.
I just read a post form a new forum member saying that one of the first things he's saving for to modify his bike is one of your hubs.
Well done mate. Im genuinely excited for you.:yo:
