New press info by MV Agusta concerning the magnificent F3 to trigger the anticipation.

This is great to hear for sure. I know it is a press release from MV, but it is always good to hear when companies are ahead of plan.

Seeing as how that press release is from Italy, all of the lingo in it is European metric and the fact that that's MV's home this fall release most definitely is referring to Europe and not America.

As for 2013 release in the US... this could just be wishful thinking, but I'd like to think that MV will break their trend of waiting one full year and will push this out in 2012 for US. They almost half to. How insulting is that to customers to post the F3 (which is on the US MV site), but it's not releasing for 2 years? I think at that point they pretty much half to because not too many people who really want a bike will wait that long. The F3 is no doubt sexy, but so is the Daytona 675R and the Ducati 848 Evo.

My main worry though is that even though MV is trying to be competitive with pricing, what are the dealers going to do knowing this bike is considered the sexiest bike ever made? I really hope MV forces dealers to not price hike, because honestly I can see this being an $18k bike easily in America, even if it's MSRP is only around $13k-$14k just because they know people will want it.

The more I look at and read about the Daytona the more I feel like it is every bit as nice as the F3 with the Ohlns, it may even be a step above for us in the US with great Ohlns support.....

No disrespect to MV, it's a SEXY ASS bike.

Maybe I just think weird, but seeing as how the F3 is actually on MV Agusta's USA site I would assume that all but confirms that it's coming to the US. It'd make absolutely no sense to post the bike there otherwise.

It even says "MSRP: To Be Determined" at the bottom.

I'd say it's very likely to hit the US. Now, will it retain that "cheaper" price they are talking about? That all depends. I thought I read somewhere that the bike will be built in both Italy and Mexico (or was it Brazil?) If that's the case, then that means MV will use those facilities for everywhere other than Europe to keep costs down, but could also potentially mean other areas are getting a slightly "less Italian" bike.

I'll assume that's sarcasm.

I will love to be proved wrong, for MV to change its MO of the last 12 years--I had high hopes during the Harley era, despite my dislike for the redesigns, that at least supply chain issues would improve and the US market (one of MV's smallest) would get more attention.

However, EVERY SINGLE MODEL INTRODUCTION since 1999 has been that way.

Actually, per Italy, the ETA for the USA market is still Q1 2012.

To suggest 12-18 months later than elsewhere would be merely a (pessimistic) guess...

Presently there's no way for the USA F3 units to arrive sooner than Nov / Dec 2011 and having said that, early 2012 is more likely - for the first pre-ordered units that is. After pre-orders begin to be filled, it will be more of a function of allocation/supply in terms of filling waiting lists by a certain date.

The best bet of course would be to speak with your preferred dealer (early and often) to understand where a solid commitment / pre-order might be fitting in vs. other orders.

So Fazer, your answer leads me to believe that you are NOT the official MV Agusta spokesperson. I didn't think so. You don't know anything at all about MV's new product development and progress thereof. You also do not know that most of the delays MV has experienced are not due to production delays but due to the fact that the US and state agencies (EPA, DOT, CARB), who your tax dollars pay for, take can't be bothered to complete the homologation of a new bike in any reasonable amount of time. Are you're just here to spread bad rumors about MV?!

What makes you think that you are qualified to make such untrue and damaging statements?

First off, you are wrong with your assessment of MV's past performance. The very latest model from MV, the 2010 F4 was maybe 2 months late. That's it.
Secondly, your ongoing negativity about MV does nothing good and may even be considered slanderous.

If you are so upset with MV, why don't you stay at the Suzuki forum and let the good people who do believe in the MV Agusta product and company spread the enthusiasm.

Having a Suzuki avatar on an MV forum should be reason enough to get banned!!!
Alvin......????:stickpoke

I'm not getting involved or taking sides atall, i can actually see both parties opinions and respect both
as I feel only fair too. BUT I couldn't help noticing that Fazer is a senior member with over 8400 posts!
In my my opinon it is unfair for a member with a lot less posts to suggest someone is banned, I am sure fazer has contributed passionately and generously in that time, surely each of us are allowed
to air our opinions and frustrations without falling out?

But hey who am I to judge I am new here too and have no right to cast my opinions, it was just an
observation I too was somewhat dissapointed a week or two ago when i learned of the wheels and
frame colors, no matter what though I still want the bike, i know that if i had changed my mind and
not continued to wait that the first time i saw someone esle with the bike i would be gutted.

Good things come to those who wait, let's hope so hey, in the meantime I'm saving and day dreaming
of the day I pick mine up. I reckon for all of us that day will fade all the waiting and arguements into
submission.

hope I haven't offended anyone

Daniel, crash2much is an MV dealer in California, so I think he has some knowledge of how things are moving at MV at the moment.
On the other hand, fazer6 is right for MV to be always late.

Let's hope they stick to plan this time around. It is true that 2010 F4 was pretty much on time with what they said back then.

And he is just joking about banning fazer6...

If this is accurate - then they will start building in MAY 2011. When I spoke to Giovanni Castiglioni last November he told me 'industrialisation' was projected for September 2011 - move that 4 months forward & you have May.

Whichever way, I can't wait ................................ :mouthwate :mouthwate :mouthwate :mouthwate :mouthwate :mouthwate

Ohhhh .. You name dropper.. Next your be telling us your having lunch with Lady GaGa....

Anyway, good luck to all of you who have placed orders on the new F3.. It doesn't matter when it finally arrives, what is important is that MV have had enough time for product testing and not be pressurised into meeting some launch deadline.

It's like having the similar patience of endurancing those long waiting queues at airport security.. What would you rather have.. Get home safe and sound because someone has done his job properly, or risk something going wrong because that same person was under pressure to meet someone deadline..

MV need time to get the F3 spot on, as the eyes of the Motorbike world will be on this model when it finally gets here..

Called one German dealer today, and the first delivery will be in Nov or Dec 2011 what he said.
3 color option, red frame and white, red silver, black.
Pricing not sure, 12900 Euro rish or 13 something.
There is also one special version of it for slightly over 20k Euro with a limited version.

cheers,
Robert
