All pre 2010 bikes used larger front wheel bearings. The early F4 750 and 1000S as the Brutale 750, 910.., basically all with Showa forks, had larger spindles which fitted to the larger wheel bearings. Starting with the R or 312R models MV used a 25mm spindle and bridged the gap to the larger bearings with spacers. The 2010+ bikes have wheels with 25mm bearings which fit directly to the spindle. If You go for the earlier Star wheels, Brembo / Marchesini forged or ultra light forged in Magnesium or Aluminum, all can be fit to Your 2010+ with the spindle and spacers of the 312R, for an example.
As Donsy said the rear wheels fit on everything build by MV in between 1998 and 2013 without any trouble.
Thanks guys for the info. I am considering going to forged wheels to replace the cast ones on my 2012 F4R. Lusting after some BST carbons but budget not there at present. MV forum is the best.
Looks like the axle and spacers used on a number of the earlier MVs will allow me to use the marchesini mag front wheel(35mm bearing) on my 2012 F4R. Specifically I ordered the ones for a 2007 Brutale 910R. Will let you know how it all goes when parts arrive.
Mag wheels installed using earlier axle and spacers. Had to do some minor mod to axle nut but straightforward. I think it looks great--see pics in gallery. Haven't figured out how to get picture in here as file was to large?:yo:
WSD - Please share what you did on the mounting surface of the front rotors. There's a 10mm difference between rotor mounting surface of the B4 wheel and an F3 wheel.
Hi there,
Need some help/advice
I know brutale wheels will fit on the 2015 F4 with the use of spacers...can anyone help me out where to find the right spacers?
Cheers
My bike is a 2015 Mv agusta f4 1000
I’m looking for kineo wheels..they are available for the brutale 1090R so I’m curious if these will fit the F4 with the right spacers.
I do understand your reaction 😅
But it’s a rebuilt café racer F4
I will sent them an email..perhaps they have a solution. First thing is the wheels, then the exhaust and finally the headlights to make it look more café racer-style.
