Hello all, I'm new here. I've been researching the 910R as I am gearing up for another bike purchase and currently the 910R is in a dead heat with a S4R. The bikes are different, but there's lots to like about both.
The one thing I absolutely can't put my finger on is:
Service intervals and costs. Searched here, but answers were not complete. Could someone please tell me what the mileage intervals are and what the typical ballpark costs are?
This is an important component of my decision and any help is greatly appreciated.
the service intervals for the brutale are every 6000 km, and a first service at 1000km.
concerning the price for each service, it will depend a lot where you are living. tell us which
country/continent you are, and you will get a serious number.
And ballpark costs? Which one of those intervals requires valve adjustments?
I'm prepared to spend more for service, as my last 5 motorcycles over the course of many years have been European. But I like to have an idea of costs so I can plan for it.
At ATD my first service was about $350. I did my own interim service (3600) which is mostly an oil change and check over. Valve adjust at 7200 miles 3rd service. Expect to pay similar prices to a major service on a Japanese sport bike with valve adjust. Labor rate at ATD is $90 an hour. Most Honda/Yamaha/Suzuki/Kawasaki shops are closer to $65~75 an hour. So maybe $500~700
All things motorcycle continue to be bloody expensive in England, I see. But reasonable here. The MV I was considering is a no-go. However there will be a 910R or maybe 1078RR in my future...
ouch, i even had to pay a bit less in euros, and i considered it already very
expensive (especially for the numbers compared to the US). seems the british
are really suffering a lot.
