Hi all,

My 1090R was delivered yesterday. As far as we know its the first 1090R here in Belgium. Very pleased with my choice!
The colour scheme does remind me a bit of the 2006 910S in grey/red.
Too bad the winter has started overhere with the first snow yesterday.
I have to wait a few months to get it on the road. But for now, a quick look in the garage will be enough to keep that smile on my face! :D

Yeah, I have the same disease. My beer is in the garage refrigerator, so always an excuse to look at Eleanor:mouthwate, but riding is when the real fun begins! :drummer:

I rode to the Volvo/BMW dealer to get some parts, came out to the bike w/parts to see the salesman drooling too!

Great bike!

I'm still waiting :ahhh:. But my bike should arrive before christmas.....

Will you stay with these mirrors? I'm looking for smaller ones with indicators......

Found only these:

What will you do with your exhaust?

Jochen
These mirrors look great ! Might get me one of these...:jsm:

And your 1090RR with the red frame looks fantastic !

..although a few carbon bits may be needed..:)

How much will you sell me the dash surround cover for ? :naughty: (the running lights are cool...:smoking:)

@ Enkil:

Riding is not possible for the moment as we have the snow season over here. Temps this morning were -14°C. Looking out for better weather but i think it could well be march before it can have its first appearance on the road....

Made in france, the cheapest carbon parts in ever found. Some guys from German MV forums use them. They say good quality......

I'll go for a rear fender from them.

Jochen

Hi Jochen,

Just took a quick look at their website.
Very interested in a carbon rear fender too!
Please keep me up to date when it arrives for fitting and quality.
That price is crazy!

BTW: i see your RR is getting more and more 'complete'! :yo:

Got my rear carbon fender today.

Took 3 days from France to Germany :) .

Quality seems very good, just flawless.

For 75 € incl. tax a bargain.

Hi Glenn,

first of all:

in the northern hemisphere we have winter :bawling: - all day rain or snow....

So I could not road-test the mirrors.

But they are completely made of aluminium, the screws are tight. The pin joint is hard to move by hand.

Here you go for a description in English:
http://www.bikermart.co.uk/proddetail.asp?prod=301-584&cat=99

This is the link for the Rizoma adapters for Brutale (imho the only on who makes adapters for our bikes):

Here's the list in english:
http://cdn.carpimoto.com/Images/Products/Pdf/Mirror_Adapters_List.pdf
We need BS730B

The drawing:
http://cdn.carpimoto.com/Images/Products/Pdf/BS730_Rev03.pdf
R-319-NX, VR08-P and BS730-01 will not be used.

BTW: LEDs do not work when you interchange plus and minus pole ;) .

Unfortunately brand4bikes does not sell Rizoma. You should get them in Australia easily as Rizoma is a well known brand in the world.

The writing is screen printed - you could either turn it upside down by swapping the mirrors from on side to the other - or use something like a permanent marker (don't laugh - I used it with great success).

Thank you Jochen.

:yo: Yes, I agree, a black marker is very handy !

It will be interesting to see if any vibration is heard at speed...:naughty:

When does the dash cover running light illuminate?

In the last three weeks, Australia had a heatwave lasting several days where the temperature was approximately between 28C to 56C (82.4F to 132.8F) - a record high temperature was recorded.

In the last few days, the Eastern seaboard of Australia flooded, with no transport going in or out of some Queensland areas (area of 1,852,642 km2 versus Germany land mass of 357.050 km²)...interestingly, when we had the heatwave, certain areas of Australia received snow...

Guy,
here ya go:

Really hard to take some nice pics - I do not know when I last saw the sun. I hate that winter wheather :bawling:.

For me the quality is ok. Cannot find any dents or imperfect clear paint.

For 75 € plus shipping a good deal!

I need 3 wellnuts (10mm diameter) for installation - they are on order.....

Hello cherche
It shore looks shiney
but I doubt its made with real epoxy resin and even real carbon for that matter it can not be both at that price
manufacter AND seller both have to make a profit
Also got a differant "weave" off carbon mv uses , but that"s a personal taste.
Regards
Peter

I have doubts too!
Looks well built but i don't like the wide pattern of the carbon.
The other pics you showed look more refined. Looks to me it has a different fabric as the rear fender you bought.
Maybe cheap but i'm gonna stick with my original plans....
