Came off my beloved 750s yesterday, got caught out by some loose gravel on a quickish left hander, lost the front got it gathered up again and had to run off straight ahead and over the embankment. The bike cartwheeled and ended up on top of me. It`s truly miraculous that I have no broken bones or lacerations ,substantial internal bruising and soft tissue damage (wear your leathers gang) even more astounding is the lack of damage to the bike. The seats are buggered and the taillight assembly is munched as it landed on it otherwise a couple of scratches . Will send some photos when I can lift my arms up to take some .The bike started straight up as if nothing had happened and I rode it home(hour away) and my flower called me an ambo cause I couldn`t move unassisted and breathing was a new experience in pain. These bikes must be the toughest ever created.
We are truly blessed in this country to have the medical support that we do and I cant say enough to thank the people involved,my hat is off to all of them.

Maaaate! What a stunt to finish off the year! Glad you're ok though. Those bikes are tough indeed, but what about you, cushioning the impact with your body? Get well quick.

cus - I have a couple bits I kept off of my old '06 910S: stock red tail lamp, stock orange turn signal lenses, corbin seat. I will donate these to the refurbishment of your machine if you need them, not sure how long to get them from western US to Tasmania, maybe long enough that you are recovered by then? palerider

Thanks again to all, this is an exceptional little community and one to be proud of. I tried to put some photos up but couldn`t get it to work. Any Tips? Thanks to whomever moved my original post to the correct place and sorry for putting it in the wrong spot to start with.
I`m bored shitless ,got bruises on bits I didn`t even know I had and stiff in all the wrong places but I`m a "lucky bastard"(ala life of brian). I`ve got bark off my neck in an odd pattern and couldn`t figure out how it happened till I had a look at my helmet and realised it is from the drive chain:jsm:. Got a lottery ticket for tonight.

Dang Cus, you are one lucky man. Even if that lottery ticket doesn't pay out I'd say you've already won a much bigger lottery. Glad to hear you're on the mend. Hopefully you'll be back in the saddle soon.
Cheers,
Glenn

Thanks Knurl,
I have stripped it down to the rear subframe which is bent but on reflection not that badly.Hopefully in a couple/few days I will have enough physical movement to be able to remove it and have a go at straightening it. It`s amazing how much has survived (scuffed paint etc but not actually busted) Tough little bugger. Anyway I will have a better idea once everything is stripped down completely.
Thanks again to all. Cus

Seat, tail light and t/s covers are in the post. Had to do some shed/trailer exploring, but found them. Home PC was giving me fits, preventing posts or PM's, and it decided to run a virus scan in the middle of it all - bringing me to a glacial pace (it's just following my settings, I know). All better now I think. There is some satisfaction in repairing a machine, and you will know it all the better. You can both heal together. palerider

Cus If the shipping isnt an outragious cost, I could send you my stock parts from my 2007 F4 312R. Master cylinders, rear sets ect . No promises since I live in usa Pennsylvania but overseas shipping through USPS can be reasonable at times
Thanks Jake for the offer but my bike is a Brutale so parts may not be so interchangeable and by some sort of divine intervention I have no damage that I have been able to find(yet) forward of the seat other than a small dent in one radiator cover, even the footpegs and foot levers are undamaged.quite astounding really. Thankyou for the kind thought.

Shipping should run $40 - $60 via USPS. I assume it would take 1 - 2 weeks to arrive. Not sure if customs opens things up going through, they take their time - which would slow things down. I know when I purchased an exhaust for a Yamaha SRX 600 a few years back (from England) I received a phone call from customs wanting to know what it was after they had had the system for a few weeks. I'm surprised they didn't cut it open to look inside.
