rear brake reservoir

has anyone attempted insulating the reservoir to keep it from overheating.

Several of us have George - but remember it does not enhance the braking performance, it just prolongs the brake fluid life, re-locating it is a more effective way and allows for easy access.
Insulating the master cylinder helps much more in preventing brake fade, as well as following a proper bleeding procedure.

Cool Example

This is one I did some years ago George - Later on I used smaller reservoir and installed where the toolbag is now lying, just because this was experimental.
On the new F4's it's behind the rearset/frame plate, might be worth looking at, I don't use a reservoir at all, just a piece of tube.

I am going to get a longer piece of hose and try relocating it to the left side subframe close to where the lock is for the tail section

@number2 - Note that I put some heat reflecting sleeve over the tubing George, easy to do and you can buy various sizes at auto shops.
