F3 eating up an R6

This anyone on the board? F3 gets an R6 pretty good, though they're on the highway. Bigger balls than me.

What we've got here, is failure to communicate.

In all fairness that R6 is an older model based on the instrument cluster. Not exactly a fair comparison as that R6 could be 9 years older than the F3. Even if both bikes were brand new the F3 has more power.

To help ID the R6 for the post above it's a 03-04 R6 according to the gauge cluster and triple tree clamp. So yes the F3 is 9-10 years newer than the R6 in the vid.

Indeed. What makes that worse is the earlier models such as my 2000 R6 has 125hp rather than the 118hp for the R6 in the video so that R6 is pretty much the slowest one that was made.

Thanked 1 Time in 1 Post
Been there done that numerous times with Steve on his MV, he pulled my RSV4 like the MV did to the R6 in the video, but the MV is shorter geared than the RSV4, so, one less tooth up front on the RSV4 and they both show 6000rpm/81 ish mph..................and the result is the other way around.

A lot of the difference can be down to gearing.

Having said that loosing one toothon the front means I will never see 201mph...bugger

MV's all gone now, still have a soft spot for MV's, waiting for MV to tick all my boxes again.
Previously (and about 40 others)748SP, S4, S4R, 98R1, 2000 F4, F41000S, F41000R, 08R1, 09R1, S1000RR, RSV4 Factory aPRC in Garage now

Good point. A drag race is pretty much the lowest common denominator of speed. Many of the 1000cc bikes are great in a straight line but can get eaten alive by smaller displacement bikes when the road fails to be straight anymore. This becomes especially fun when the 1000cc rider is not as skilled as the rider of the smaller displacement machine.
