Exclamation The Deals Gap MV Agusta Takeover!!!

Folks, there has been some not-so-idle banter about a meeting of the MVs.
I'd like to propose a takeover of the Deals Gap, NC area.
There are several dates where Cindy and I are available, and there are some international folks who are interested. As the Bub, unfortunately, is not going to rematerialize anytime soon, I think this could be a fun exercise to keep us bike oriented individuals focused on getting together as a group for fun, fellowship, riding, general Bullshitting and the like.

There are those that live in, or near this area and know it much better than I do. There is great riding all around this area....BUT, the destination's center will be Deals Gap and The Tail of the Dragon: http://tailofthedragon.com/

I'd like to make the Fontana Village Resort: http://www.fontanavillage.com/ a proposed meeting location as it has nice amenities for those who would like to bring along family, nice rooms, a pool, great food...and it's a stone's throw from all of the great riding. It has room for trailers and is very bike friendly.

There are many viable places to stay nearby...do a Google search, you'll see.

To start the conversation...and the ball rolling....Cindy and I are available: Sep 21-Oct 5. The dates have been set as Sep. 28-Oct. 2. See my signature for additional details(or you could enjoy reading this thread in its entirety.)

There are other potential dates, but those would be the most convenient for us at this juncture in our lives. Things do change, so let's see what shakes out.

I have trailer space for North East USA riders that would like to go, but don't have a way to haul a bike that far in safety.

If we can firm something up by the end of February, that should be sufficient to let people know and plan....

I invite you to peruse the Deals Gap website, explore the links, find out more about the area...and let's get together!

Thoughts?

Keep your words soft and sweet, for someday you shall eat them....

What we've got here, is failure to communicate.

I am in. I know that the GAP has a lot of groups that gather there at different times of the year. Is it possible to find if other groups would be there at the same time.?

Yes, and we can contact The Deals Gap Resort for group info.
There is a calendar of groups, I believe.

There are also photo companies such as KillBoy (http://www.killboy.com/) that keep calendars.

Once we get some semi-firm date info, I'll see who's going to be at The Gap.

I'm also going to post this link in the MVA USA thread.

Perhaps someone Facebook savvy could get a link on the MV Facebook page....

Nice initiative!

What a beast of a motorcycle!
It growls and rages and flies across the tarmac like a wild animal that has escaped the confinement of a cage and after merely waiting restlessly until the release, will not endure being locked up ever again.

Best for me would most likely be after the Spanish MotoGP Aragon round (Sept 25) but I can probably work in with other dates.
