UK Members, do you own your MV ?

In MCN upto 50 MV's bought are not owned by the purchaser.

This wouldn't entice me to buy an MV if I were in the market for one.

Anyone who buys a bike without a V5 or doing an HPI check if private is taking a massive risk.
If the bike has a V5 - then it isn't one of these.

Take a chance while you still got the choice.

just do a bit of research on your dealer, the dodgy ones will show themselves so just avoid them, most iffy people in the trade leave a trail

Your missing the point.
These are new bikes sold with false plates and not registered,

No - not missing the point. If you buy a brand new vehicle, you get the V5 within days. Less than a week. If you don't get a V5 you go beat the dealer with a club with nails in it.

I'm not missing the point, do your homework and use reputable and well established dealers , it doesn't take much digging to find skeletons

Yep do your homework. Small hint if the deal is too good to be true it probably is.

Who's got a good deal ? Some of these people have gone into dealers handed over their hard earned and got shafted.
And some are reported as track prep bikes that don't come with a V5 so that theory's out the window.
I have bought an ex race bike before without a V5, I didn't too much but did have some background info on it. I guess you could get the vin number and find out from that.

So you've parted with 14k or what ever to find out it's come with false plates.
Well if your happy to loose the money and the bike, but have the satisfaction of clubbing the dealer then hats off to you.

Just see this...it's funny as I knew this happened 6 months ago

I even know the two dealers that 100% did it and possibly a third

Basically they sold the bikes but didn't pay mv so mv didn't give certificate of newness and relevant paperwork

To make the customer even more f*cked, mv went on to report all the chassis numbers of the ones they weren't paid on

Only place those bikes will be at now or any good is track days not racing though and parts

Don't pm me on who the dealers are because it's not for me to say but if you're from England it won't take long to work it out
