Crashed F4, advice please!

I crashed my F4 yesterday, unbelievable, I love that bike. Had it years and never crashed. Cried a lot (I'm female) then took myself outside and had a word, gave myself a beating etc etc

Anyway... does anyone know where the tilt switch/ fuel pump cut-out thingy is situated so I can reset it and try to get him started again?

And does anyone sell cheap F4 parts??

Thanks guys, I'm in Manchester UK. JDS is getting back to me tomorrow with parts info so hopefully it'll be sorted. I will ask him the switch question too. Looked on ebay but only thou parts listed.

Thanks 'castle'. I'm gutted, but physically okay thanks courtesy of my new Dainese leathers, just bruises and aching. I got dumped today too so it's been a blinding weekend!!!!

I believe they were fitted to bikes from 2006 onwards. The function is to cut power to the fuel pump so I am guessing the ecu picks up the sense signal when the bike tips and shuts off the fuel pump.?

I can't see a procedure to reset as such maybe one of the other guys could advise on that.

I'd check the obvious too like the kill switch isn't still pressed in ..we've all done it ; ) Then I'd check the fuses too.

Bar in mind many parts on 750s are in common with thous...

As to Location if you have one on your bike it sits just below the fuel injection rail ,to the left and behind the engine, looks like a black tube. It is connected with three wires from the bottom of the switch..

Thanks Joe.

I've checked the fuel pump switch [i meant fuse], and the kill switch, all okay. And it's an early MV so therefore hasn't got a tilt switch, thanks for this, explains why I couldn't find it :-s

Am hoping I won't have to get it recovered to the dealer, so I'll keep looking...

Sorry to hear about your crash. I'm glad you're physically ok. Hopefully you'll get things sorted quickly.
I'd say with your luck the past few days a pint or 10 is in order!

Good work Joe.
There is a reference to the tilt switch in the F4 manual. However, in the diagnostic section of the manual all it says is "Electric starter does not work: Tilt Sensor Broken: Replace".
No mention of a reset procedure.
